EDIT: This guy is a lot more fluent in the way he tells you what the deal is, but i'm gonna detail some major things he hit upon in the video, because I realize that expecting all of you to sit down and watch 50 min of content is a big ask. I've condensed an hour's lecture into six minutes. You're welcome.

Given the circumstances, it would be of your best interest to at least watch these videos.

Watch them start to finish at 1.75x speed if necessary. Here are the things you need to know.

Once you've watched them, share it with your friends. I know you don't want to sit down and look at these, but, potentially, your livelihood could be at stake.

Sigh.

Okay.

Here we go.

Doxxing or DDoSsing is short for "dropping docs and is a revenge tactic that involves breaching someone's personal data and publishing it on the web. People can gain access to your info through:

  • Old websites

  • Forums and web discussions

  • Online games

  • Social Media

  • Blogs

A doxx can typically include:

  • Name

  • State, city, and address

  • Credit Card and banking information

  • Social networking profile

  • Personal photos

  • your SSN

  • and/or your phone number

IS IT ILLEGAL?

The act in and of itself, actually isn't, but it's extremely unethical; It's usually done with malicious intent - to intimidate, interrogate, blackmail, and control.

It can expose innocent people to:

  • Harassment

  • Identity theft

  • Humiliation

  • Loss of their jobs/careers

  • Rejection from friends and family

Doxxing is technically legal so long as the information is publicly available.

HOWEVER, it can still fall under state criminal laws if that information is used for

  • Stalking

  • Identity theft

  • Financial Gain

  • Harassment

  • Infiltrating Private data

The risk of getting doxxed increases the more personally identifiable information you have on the internet (i.e. if you draw, write, or take pictures of yourselves indulging in ABDL activities, and also have a sfw Facebook with a lot of personal info on the front page, you are in the worst position possible.)

...So what can you do?

PROTECT YOUR IP ADDRESS.

  • Use a trusted proxy or Virtual Private Network (VPN) for your IP. If you don't know what a VPN does, it sets up a new IP address to mask your real IP address. Your IP address can be used to track your general location, narrowing your whereabouts down to about a 50-mile radius. With a VPN, your IP address will instead be tracked to a location besides your own, whether it be across town, across the state, the country, even the world. It's a viable tool to protect yourself, as an IP address is the easiest way to mess someone up.

  • The video suggests a VPN called HideMyAss, as its apparently the most popular VPN out there. Cool name, if you ask me.

  • Using free public Wifi will mask your IP, but using it is dangerous in itself because anyone can access the network. It'll hide your IP, but I wouldn't suggest connecting to public wifi, as it presents its own set of problems.

  • If you own a website/domain, I would look into investing in WHOIS protection to protect your private info by concealing it through a domain registrar.

CREATE MULTIPLE USERNAMES AND EMAIL ADDRESSES

  • Use separate usernames for videos and bills, or, in our case, sfw and nsfw, and use separate emails between the two (between sfw and nsfw).

  • Use strong passwords for emails and usernames. Mix letters, digits, and symbols. Don't put personal info in your passwords, not even your pet's name. Literally mashing on a keyboard would be safer than making your password "$$pampsarecool465$$"

  • Use 2fa, or Two-Factor Authentication for your services. Discord, Google, Paypal, Dropbox all have the option along with many more. Turn that option on in your accounts, download an authenticator app on to your phone (like, for instance I use Google Authenticator), and set it up through there. You need a phone for this; it will further secure your accounts and information, because no one will be able to get into your info without the code that the 2fa generates.

IF YOU HAVE SFW SOCIALS WITH PERSONAL INFO ON IT, SET IT SO THAT YOU ARE ONLY SHARING WITH FRIENDS, AND MAKE SURE YOU KNOW EVERYONE ON YOUR LISTS.

Click the link to see how you might still have info out there. There's a lot of info in here; I took the liberty of summing up the other two videos, but this is the second part, and you really just need to -> look at this for yourself <-

Now, for the BIG PART, if I'm too late...

What if you've already been Doxxed?

Keep in mind that simply gathering your public info is not illegal, per se. If you put it out for the public to see, that's on you (see EVERYTHING I posted above).

Its what they DO with your information that could be a federal crime.

If you get Doxxed, hop over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Internet Crime Complaint Center, or IC3. -> https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

These people specialize in dealing with viruses, fraud, doxxing, and all forms of cybersecurity. File a complaint and you will be contacted by a government official.

As intimidating as that sounds, you need to make sure you are clear and succinct with what is going on.

If you are in stream and these clowns show up and start spamming, please make sure someone gets screenshots first, as odd as that sounds. The worst thing that happens far too often in these cases is that people delete comments far too quickly, so we try to report, but we don't ever have any proof. Have mods in your streams with their finger on the button with these things. Ctrl + Alt + PS (Print Screen). I don't know what it is for Mac, but you really should google what the shortcuts for screenshotting is on your devices, because there are different types, and you need to know quickly. We have to start accumulating proof for the these crimes, or else everything we are doing won't be for anything.

These idiots make it easy because they'll make a fake account with a botched name of the artist. Take a screenshot, send it to the artist, and from there, 9 times out of 10, its up to the artist to report it. Its been an obvious trend that we can't report on someone else's behalf so it's important that if you see that someone has your information, YOU will take the steps that YOU need to take to preserve your safety. At the moment, its targeting big names in the community, so if you're a lurker, you should be good, but just be aware, and help out your friends.

Alright. I did it. I just save you an hour of your life by spending three of mine. Now do me a favor and take what you just learned and do something with it. This seems to be a bit of a fight now, and sometimes the best attack is to create the best defense possible.

I've given you what you need. Now let's fix this.

When I was growing up, I lived on the not-so-nice side of town. Something was always...off, when you walked the streets of my hometown. You had to learn how to fight, or else you might not make it home. Kids got beat up, sometimes killed from time to time for no reason at all. There were just evil people who had no agenda but to ruin someone's day, someone's life, and not everyone is equipped to contest these people.

Neighborhood Watch programs, while not foolproof, definitely helped a bunch in the situation. Yeah, I grew up knowing how to defend myself, but people would still show up to class with black eyes and broken bones. Me knowing how to defend myself doesn't do anything to help others, and definitely acting like the problem isn't there won't save people's bacon either.

You know, if there was one thing that my mother taught me, its that if you watch a crime be committed, and you had the power to stop it and didn't, you, too, are a criminal.

Let's not be criminals.

You've all seen it. Some fucking clown is going around scaring people with flashing IP addresses around, doxxing, and spamming people's accounts. We all know who it is, because I assure you, nobody is dumb enough to try and single-handedly take on all of us at once.

In other words...I'd bet its that Sherman character.

If you don't know of him, he's basically some dude with a real hard-on for the Emoji movie, and really hates people who like vore, diapers, and fetishes in general. You can see this dude in action in these threads as people from all around laugh at him and his single friend:

https://kiwifarms.net/threads/kingsherman777-manager-heel-boss-of-sherman-uttp-officer-sherman.40103/

Anyway, this is the dude who's freaking everyone out. He is known for spamming comments and throwing out phishing links for people to click. He'll pop onto public streams and spam in the chat. He'll pose as random people, or popular artists, and spam doxx info--which if you didn't know, is indeed illegal. He himself can't hack for shit, I don't think, but I figure he has some cronies who can.

So what does this mean?

I am usually late to the party when it comes to drama in the community. It seems that they are going whole hog as of late, if even I have heard this shit going down. There are people in multiple Discord servers I'm in where people were going ape shit crazy out of fear for their safety online. Some of my friends literally had to talk one dude down from gutting himself out of sheer anxiety. I've heard a lot of talk about just switching your IP addresses via contacting your internet service provider, or ISP, or getting a virtual private network subscription, or VPN. Those are both good solutions. Not skirting around them. In fact I encourage you all to do one or both of those things.

However,

Let me propose one thing more.

As a child, while I can't say that I appreciated it then, my mom used to drag me to these monthly meetings our neighborhood would have to just get together, but also discuss issues in the community. And if there was any quote I remember from every single meeting it was this: "If you see something, say something."

Robberies were stopped, lives were saved, just because people stood up for what was right for our neighbors' sake. I know I'm not here often anymore, but this is where the problem is strongest, so I came back. This is where I got my start. For art, this is MY hometown. This is OUR community. You guys are my neighbors.

And no one is going to show up in our neighborhood to start trouble without a little resistance.

These numbskulls are spamming in comment sections and apparently sending notes to random people with links. BE CAREFUL AS TO WHAT LINKS YOU'RE CLICKING.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW THEM, DON'T CLICK IT.

It takes one time for them to get your IP address, which they can only do so much with, but its still a gateway to your identity. Protect yourself and your friends. If you see an account that looks fishy, spouting non sequitur bullshit like song lyrics or personal information,

  1. Flag the post as spam,

  2. Report the account,

  3. and post a status with the account username so others know to block that person.

(For added flavor, be sure to tell them that the Emoji Movie was the worst film to ever hit the silver screen, first!)

And while you're at it, take a second to block:

KingSherman777

so he can't even get a good look at ya on this site.

(its in your settings if you don't know how to do that; you don't have to look at his account)

Try to get some VPNs, people! I know some subscriptions can be expensive but gosh darn it, you need to protect yourself when online!

And don't touch strange links! If you stream, turn your links OFF!

Phew. Alright. I've said what I needed to say.

Y'all be safe, and look out for each other.

And goddammit, stop panicking. That's what he wants.

As long as we work together on this, we're gonna get him this time.

Just a reminder that I have rotating weekly rewards for patrons, now doing three sketches a week! I currently have three people in the applicable tier, so they'd be getting a free sketch every week (or, if you do the math, through the course of the month, they'd get a total of three sketches for three bucks each). If you want one, along with access to Sketch Request Streams, commission discounts, and early access to my soon-to-be released ABDL comic, consider helping me with my tuition costs by pledging!
